The Board of Governors of the College invite applications for the above position(s). St Malachy’s College is the oldest Catholic Boys’ Grammar School in the Diocese of Down and Connor. The College is renowned for its outstanding pastoral care, excellent academic results and extra-curricular provision and performance.

Permanent and Temporary (to June ’27) term time posts to provide assistance to individual pupils with special educational and behavioural needs.

Essential Criteria:

  • Applicants must hold a minimum of 2 A Levels, (grades A to E) or at least six months’ experience of supporting children with SEN in a classroom environment.
  • A minimum of 5 GCSE/O Levels including English and Mathematics (grades A to C).

Desirable Criteria:

  • Preference may be given to those applicants that have a recognised SEN qualification and/or have at least six months’ experience of working as a Classroom Assistant.

Hours & Pay Rates:

30 hours per week term-time, Monday to Friday: 9.00am to 3.30pm, (£14.99 to £15.74 per hour).
