We are looking for a confident and hands-on Shop Manager to lead the day-to-day running of one of our busy retail shops. You will be responsible for driving sales, managing stock, and leading a team of staff and volunteers to deliver a welcoming, well-presented shop that customers want to return to. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership, spotting opportunities to improve performance, and building strong relationships within the local community all while contributing to a cause that makes a real difference.
As Shop Manager, you will:
- Deliver sales and profit targets through effective shop management
- Plan, monitor, and control shop income and expenditure
- Create attractive displays and maintain high standards of merchandising and presentation
- Manage stock levels, ensuring quality donations are maximised and processed efficiently
- Lead, motivate, and support a team of staff and volunteers, including recruitment and training
- Ensure excellent customer service at all times
- Promote the shop locally and build relationships with the community, businesses, and supporters
- Oversee Gift Aid processes and maximise conversion opportunities
- Maintain compliance with health & safety, security, and organisational procedures
- Manage administrative tasks, including banking, reporting, and record-keeping
