This is an excellent opportunity to join St Luke's Hospice in a key Administration role supporting our Hospice Rapid Access and community teams. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, reliable Administration support to the teams, working flexibly as required to meet service needs.
Main responsibilities
- Provide efficient administrative and clerical support within our Hospice Rapid Access Team.
- Manage incoming enquiries via telephone, email and in person with a professional and compassionate manner.
- Maintain accurate records in line with GDPR and organisational policies, including patient and case documentation.
- Process referrals, appointments and correspondence, ensuring timely communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support meeting coordination, including preparation of papers, minute-taking and distribution of actions.
- Assist with data entry, filing and other office tasks to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and provide cover for other administrative functions as required.

Qualifications
- Proven administrative experience, preferably in a healthcare, charity or busy office environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional telephone manner.
- Fully computer literate with experience of Microsoft Office applications and confident using electronic record systems.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Understanding of confidentiality and data protection (GDPR) requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating empathy and respect for patients and families.
- Flexible approach to working hours to meet service demands.
