We are looking for an experienced and compassionate registered nurse to join St Lukes Hospice as Deputy Clinical Lead within our End of Life Urgent Care Service. This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of responsive, high-quality end of life care in the community, helping patients remain in their preferred place of care and avoid unnecessary hospital admission.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Support the Clinical Lead in the operational management and day-to-day delivery of the EOLUCS team.
- Provide clinical leadership, specialist assessment and decision-making for patients receiving end of life care in the community.
- Help coordinate workloads, support team development and contribute to service improvement.
- Work closely with internal teams and external health and social care partners to deliver coordinated, patient-centred care.
- Deputise for the Clinical Lead when required.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Registered Adult Nurse with current NMC registration.
- Experience of clinical leadership, team coordination and supporting staff development.
- Strong assessment, communication and partnership-working skills.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate end of life care.
- Experience in palliative and end of life care, community care, or complex care coordination would be advantageous.
WORKING PATTERN
This is a full-time post of 37.5 hours per week, with working pattern options including 5 days per week or compressed hours across 4 days. The role is primarily based at St Lukes Hospice with community visits as required.
