As part of our commitment to excellence, we're looking for a dedicated Housekeeper to join our Facilities team and help maintain the clean, safe, and welcoming environment that supports every aspect of the care we provide.
Main duties of the job
- Deliver a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene across our Hospice site, including patient areas, clinical spaces, and public areas.
- Support our laundry service, ensuring that bed linen, curtains, and patients' personal laundry are managed with care and efficiency.
- Play a vital role in the day-to-day experience of our patients and their families.

Job responsibilities
- Carry out daily, weekly, and periodic cleaning tasks in line with set schedules.
- Safely dispose of waste, including clinical waste, in accordance with infection control and colour‑coding procedures.
- Use cleaning and laundry equipment safely and efficiently following full training.
- Clean and remake beds after discharge or during patient bathing/therapy.
- Support the laundry service: washing, drying, ironing, and returning items to the correct patient or location.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control throughout the Hospice.
- Report any faulty equipment or issues to the Housekeeping Coordinator.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
