About the Role
As our E-Commerce Team Lead, you will help manage and grow our online sales channels, including eBay, Amazon, and other platforms. You\’ll work closely with our Ecommerce Trading Manager to maximise sales, develop new trading ventures, and ensure an exceptional customer experience.
You\’ll also play a key role in training and motivating staff and volunteers, building our e-trading brand, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
What You\’ll Do
- Lead and inspire the e-trading team to achieve income targets and deliver excellent customer service.
- Identify growth opportunities and new online sales channels.
- Oversee stock management, product photography, listing accuracy, and order fulfilment.
- Analyse sales performance, identify trends, and report on progress.
- Maintain high standards of visual merchandising and brand presentation.
- Support and develop volunteers, ensuring they are trained, motivated, and engaged.
- Promote an environmentally and socially conscious approach to e-commerce.
What We\’re Looking For
- Proven experience in online trading or e-commerce sales (preferably in a charity retail environment).
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of online retail trends.
- Experience leading staff and/or volunteers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital tools (EPOS, online listings).
- Excellent organisational, planning, and communication skills.
- Creative eye for product presentation and brand alignment.
- Knowledge of Trading Standards, GDPR, and online trading compliance.
- Commitment to St Luke\’s values: Caring, Pioneering, Respectful.
- Awareness of Gift Aid and donor engagement strategies.
- Experience promoting saleable donated goods.
