Hours: 22.5 Hours Per Week (day and night shifts)

St Luke's Hospice are looking for a positive and enthusiastic person, with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to care, to join the team as a Band 2 Healthcare Assistant.

Main duties of the job

The role would be working within our specialist Inpatient Unit delivering high‑quality end‑of‑life care and palliative care. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their families. Our Inpatient Unit team takes great pride in delivering palliative and end‑of‑life care of the highest standard for patients with complex care needs, alleviating their pain and preserving their dignity. As a result, the IPU maintains an excellent nurse‑to‑patient ratio, typically 1:3, to uphold this standard of care. While the position we are recruiting for is challenging, it is also highly rewarding. You will be part of a supportive team working in a positive environment where all our staff and volunteers are valued. Internal rotation to night and weekends will be a requirement of the post.
