St Luke's Hospice has an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator to join our established Clinical Admin team which supports our Clinical Coordination Hub for Community, Inpatient Unit and Quality Teams. You will provide teams with a timely and comprehensive administrative service that enables them to deliver excellent patient care.
A significant part of this role is telephone based, so experience of and comfort dealing with potentially anxious patients, families and bereaved people is important. You will have administrative/secretarial experience and have worked in a patient/customer facing service environment. Experience in a clinical setting is highly desirable.
You will have the ability to remain calm under pressure and manage stressful situations in a compassionate and professional manner. Excellent organisational, communication and IT skills are crucial to be successful in this role.
Able to work independently, organising your own workload on a daily basis, you will also be comfortable working flexibly as part of the team to respond to changing priorities in a rapidly changing environment.
The successful candidate will be required to work between 8.00am and 8.00pm over 7 days per week, and will be required to work every other Saturday, with the remaining weekday hours to be agreed at interview.
