Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? We are looking for a dedicated, friendly, and enthusiastic Shop Assistant to join our team at our Launceston Shop in Cornwall. This is a large, fast-paced store situated in Scarne Park, Launceston. The shop sells a wide variety of donated items with an emphasis on furniture, homeware and clothing.
As a Shop Assistant, you will play an essential role in helping raise vital funds to support the hospice's care for patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Providing excellent customer service through representing St Luke's Values and promoting the essential work the charity provides
- Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with both customers and donors
- Assisting with the daily running of the shop through ensuring administration and banking, recruitment and management of volunteer staff and all health and safety requirements are adhered to
- Processing sales transactions and stock accurately
- Working enthusiastically and collaboratively with the Shop Volunteers, Assistants, and Shop Manager
Previous retail or charity work experience is desirable, and an ability to demonstrate personal flexibility is essential.
