Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? We are looking for a dedicated, friendly, and enthusiastic Shop Assistant to join our team at our shop in the picturesque market town of Tavistock. This is a community-based, busy shop which sells a variety of donated items with an emphasis on clothing and bric-a-brac.

As a Shop Assistant, you will play an essential role in helping raise vital funds to support the hospice's care for patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities Will Include:
  • Providing excellent customer service through representing St Luke's Values and promoting the essential work the charity provides.
  • Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with both customers and donors.
  • Assisting with the daily running of the shop through ensuring administration and banking, recruitment and management of volunteer staff and all health and safety requirements are adhered to.
  • Processing sales transactions and stock accurately.
  • Working enthusiastically and collaboratively with the Shop Volunteers, Assistants, and Shop Manager.

Previous retail or charity work experience is desirable, and an ability to demonstrate personal flexibility is essential.
