Hours/Type: Part time permanent (18.5 hours per week, Monday, Friday and alternative Tuesday’s)

Location: Shaw Lane Depot

Duties and Responsibilities

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to work within our Warehouse Team. The Warehouse Team receives materials from builder’s merchants and then subsequently issues them to our workforce and this role is crucial to that process. Responsibilities include:

  • Order picking building materials so that our repairs and maintenance team can undertake day‑to‑day and planned repairs.
  • Occasionally deliver materials around the borough and coordinate traffic in and out of the depot and yard.

Candidate Requirements

  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant field, or willingness and capacity to work towards a qualification.
  • Good knowledge of warehousing, storage and distribution duties, gained through practical experience.
  • Full valid manual driver’s licence.
  • Significant level of manual handling; standing for prolonged periods.
  • Disciplined, IT literate, flexible, can‑do attitude.
  • Pre‑employment medical questionnaire completion.
