St Leger Homes are recruiting a temporary part‑time Safeguarding & Anti‑Social Behaviour Officer to work within Housing Services. The post is initially for 6 months and will be based at the Civic Office in the City Centre. The holder will assist in delivery of a comprehensive Housing Management Service that includes tenancy and estate management, including dealing with high level tenancy breaches such as criminal/illegal activity, drug related cases, organised crime groups, all aspects of safeguarding and preparing court files. The role involves liaising with partners, reducing crime and disorder, sustaining tenancies and creating strong communities, visiting tenants in their homes daily, attending local meetings with partners and the public.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist with tenancy breaches and enforcement of tenancy conditions.
- Maintain accurate, detailed records in computerised systems.
- Engage with tenants, partners, and community members to address safeguarding and anti‑social behaviour issues.
- Prepare court files and support legal actions as required.
Qualifications and skills:
- Sound knowledge of housing and estate management, legislation around housing and tenancy management, and legal grounds for enforcing tenancy conditions.
- Good understanding of customer care principles, IT literacy, and experience updating computerised record systems.
- Excellent interpersonal communication (face‑to‑face and telephone).
- Good written communication and organisational skills.
- Experience of lone working and dealing with challenging situations.
