We are looking for an experienced, motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Housing Solutions Team Leader.
In this rewarding role, you will provide day-to-day leadership and support to Accommodation Support Officers, ensuring customers living in temporary accommodation receive the guidance and assistance they need to move towards independent living. You will oversee the allocation and management of temporary accommodation, support the reduction of homelessness and bed and breakfast placements, and help deliver innovative housing solutions for customers facing housing difficulties.
You will play a key role in supervising casework, providing expert guidance on homelessness legislation, housing options, safeguarding and tenancy sustainment. Working closely with internal teams, partner agencies, private landlords and support services, you will help ensure our statutory duties are met while delivering positive outcomes for some of our most vulnerable customers.
As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for motivating and developing staff, monitoring performance, conducting supervision and quality assurance activities, and supporting the delivery of key service objectives. You will use performance data and management information to drive continuous improvement and ensure services are delivered efficiently, effectively and in line with organisational priorities.
We are looking for someone with experience of housing, homelessness or support services, strong leadership skills, and a sound understanding of homelessness legislation and housing options. You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to manage competing priorities, make informed decisions, and build positive relationships with customers, colleagues and external partners. Strong IT, analytical and report-writing skills are essential.
