Role overview:
As part of the Mechanical and Electrical Team, you will play a crucial role ensuring that our customers’ homes are safe and compliant. You will share our passion for delivering an excellent service for our customers and will be able to plan and organise your work to ensure that all jobs are completed safely and efficiently. Teamwork is an essential part of this role, and there is an expectation that our colleagues share best practice and provide support to each other in order to meet the common goals of the team. You will also actively seek out new ways to add value and take our performance to the next level.
Key responsibilities:
- Electrical testing, upgrades and repairs, following current legislation and industry practices.
- Testing, inspecting and fault finding in line with current legislation.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven track record in electrical testing, upgrades and repairs.
- Sound understanding of the principles of testing, inspecting and fault finding, in line with current legislation.
- Training to NVQ 3 or equivalent and 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
- City & Guilds 2391 Electrical Test/Inspect or willing to complete.
- Full UK driving licence, and ideally experience driving a van.
- Fully equipped with testing equipment and power tools.
- High quality workmanship with ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable managing customers and building relationships with stakeholders.
- Experience within the social housing sector an advantage (not essential).
