The Building Safety Surveyor will work across our asset portfolio to support the comprehensive implementation of building safety, compliance and wider health and safety matters. They will assist in developing and implementing new processes and policies to meet the Building Safety Bill and Fire Safety Bill, fulfilling the role and responsibilities of a Building Safety Surveyor.

Responsibilities

  • Support all aspects of building safety, compliance and health and safety matters.
  • Develop and implement new processes, policies and procedures in line with legislation.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain robust systems and training.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate technical documentation and safety case files.
  • Provide guidance and support to the wider team on building safety issues.

Qualifications

  • Excellent knowledge and experience of technical building safety processes with demonstrated consistency in approach, delivery and record keeping.
  • Sound understanding of the requirements of digital building information and safety case files.
  • Sound understanding of wider health, safety and compliance issues.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritise long and short‑term work streams.
  • Flexible working hours when required.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Willingness to undertake continued learning and personal development.
