As part of the Mechanical and Electrical Team, you will play a crucial role ensuring that our customers’ homes are safe and compliant. You will share our passion for delivering an excellent service for our customers and will be able to plan and organise your work to ensure that all jobs are completed safely and efficiently. Teamwork is an essential part of this role, and there is an expectation that our colleagues share best practices and provide support to each other in order to meet the common goals of the team. You will also actively seek out new ways to add value and take our performance to the next level.
So, who are you?
We’re looking for someone with a proven track record in electrical testing, upgrades and repairs, who has a sound understanding of the principles of testing, inspecting and fault finding, in line with current legislation. You will also need:
- To be trained to NVQ 3 or equivalent, and 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (BS7671), and have a City & Guild 2391 Electrical Test/Inspect or be willing to complete.
- A full UK driving licence, and ideally have experience of driving a van. (You will be fully equipped with our testing equipment and power tools)
- To achieve a high quality of workmanship while working on your own or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, and feel comfortable managing the expectations of our customers and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Although not essential, experience within the social housing sector would be an advantage.
