St Leger Homes is an award-winning, customer-focused social housing provider that manages over 20,000 homes on behalf of Doncaster Council. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, the postholder will work as part of a professional, multi-disciplinary team that provides first-class project management services for the efficient and successful delivery of multi-million pound construction, refurbishment and maintenance works undertaken by St Leger Homes and its contractors.
Primarily providing the role of Contract Administrator (as defined in the JCT suite of contracts), or Project/Service Manager (as defined in NEC suite), the post-holder will demonstrate and exercise their excellent knowledge and experience of project planning, risk management, traditional and non-traditional construction techniques, identification of defects and their remedy, and much more. The workload is varied and we can be confident that there will not be a dull moment!
In addition, the post offers the opportunity to be at the heart of the commercial management process of these contracts that play a key and important part of improving the borough of Doncaster and its neighbourhoods.
Candidate Requirements:
The post requires a dedicated professional who has a minimum of a level 4 qualification in construction and/or the built environment or equivalent. As a hardworking individual with a passion for professionalism and the ability to remain calm and clear-thinking when under pressure, the post holder will require excellent organisational skills including the ability to plan and prioritise workload in order to meet targets, timescales and deadlines in a sometimes pressured environment. The successful applicant for the role must be disciplined, IT literate, flexible, possess excellent technical knowledge and have the ability to appreciate the bigger picture.
