Working 33.75 hours per week (term time)
As an HLTA, you will:
- Plan and lead small-group English withdrawal sessions.
- Provide guidance to and oversee Learning Support Assistants.
- Deliver tailored learning interventions to meet students' individual needs.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff to support classroom management and behavior strategies.
- Uphold safeguarding policies and promote student well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting delivery of curriculum-aligned interventions and activities.
- Planning and delivering lessons to individuals, groups, or whole classes as required.
- Monitoring and assessing student progress through data and feedback.
- Reporting concerns, incidents, or safeguarding issues in line with policies.
- Providing line management for Learning Support Assistants.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above (including English and Maths) or equivalent.
- HLTA status or relevant Level 2/3 qualifications (e.g., NNEB).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Competence with IT tools and ability to analyse and present data.
- Experience working in a similar role within education or SEND environments.
- Proven organisational and administrative skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
