The Role
Are you ready to help our pupils be their "best"? Signhills Infant Academy is looking for an inspirational leader to join our vibrant, three-form entry school. As a proud member of the St Lawrence Academies Trust, our mission is to sow the seeds of curiosity and resilience, providing a "magical" education that prepares our children for their next big steps. This is a pivotal part‑time leadership position (0.6 FTE) based within our Year 2 team for the first half of the week (Monday–Wednesday). You will lead our oldest cohort through their final year at the Academy, ensuring they are socially, emotionally, and academically ready for the transition to Junior school.
Key Responsibilities
- Year 2 Leadership: Model outstanding practice and ensure the delivery of a high‑quality, novel-based curriculum.
- Phase Management: Provide strategic direction for the whole of KS1 (Year 1 and Year 2) in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team.
- Assessment & Transition: Oversee end‑of‑key‑stage assessments and lead the transition process to Key Stage 2.
- Collaborative Planning: Work closely with your Year 2 team and part‑time counterpart to ensure seamless continuity for the children.
- Subject Leadership: Act as a subject leader for an area to be determined.
