St. Lawrence College is currently seeking qualified Professors on a part-time basis with experience and expertise in the Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA) program. We are seeking an individual experienced to teach in the following topic areas:
- CDAP 340: Fluency and Voice Disorders - This course provides a practical approach to the study of fluency and voice disorders, focusing on treatment in both child and adult populations.
- CDAP 350: Audiology 2: Amplification Systems and Aural Rehabilitation - This course reviews basic considerations of hearing instrument candidacy, earmolds, and various amplification options available.
- REHA 200: Adult Neurogenic Disorders and Rehabilitation 2 - This course explores typical and atypical language and cognitive changes that occur in the aging adult population, focusing on supportive strategies for people living with dementia.
These positions will be primarily located at the Kingston Campus; however, occasional travel to support programs in Brockville and Cornwall may be requested. Candidates may be required to teach from an online/alternate delivery format on occasion. Candidates must be available to teach Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
The responsibilities of St. Lawrence College Professors include, but are not limited to:
- Creating a positive learning environment that accommodates students’ diverse culture and educational backgrounds.
- Effectively using educational and advanced technologies to enhance the student learning experience.
- Developing curriculum that is appropriately designed and uses evidence-based tools and strategies to support and assess student learning.
- Utilising principles of adult education to actively engage students in the learning process.
- Ensuring that course and program curriculum is current and relevant.
- Working effectively with learners, colleagues, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Using the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning to build a contemporary and evidence-based practice.
The ideal candidate will meet or exceed the following qualifications:
- A minimum of a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited institution.
- Must be in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) or equivalent regulatory body.
- A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Familiarity with CDA scope of practice and experience working in interdisciplinary settings.
- Teaching experience using a Learning Management System and virtual meeting technology.
- A demonstrated practice supporting a diversity of learners.
- A proven track record of life-long learning.
- A global mindset, and intercultural knowledge and competence to teach in a global environment.

Salary and Terms: $80.62 – $139.88 hourly base rate, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Start Date: May 4, 2026. Closing Date: February 17, 2026 (4:00 p.m.)
