The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.
In consultation with the Manager, Academic Labs and culinary faculty, provides technical support in the culinary programs to meet identified course learning outcomes. Performs specific technical functions in support of operation, maintenance, repair and quality control of culinary labs and equipment as well as lab demonstrations to students.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
A minimum of a Certificate of Qualification – Cook Trade. A Red Seal Certification is required. Current certification in First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Ontario Safe Food Handling Course is required.
A minimum of 3 years of progressive kitchen trade experience as a cook in a medium to fine dining establishment.
Other Required Qualifications:
- Thorough knowledge and competence in handling of food products including ordering, receiving, rotating and storage
- Ability to multi-task
- Scheduling and coordinating skills
The successful incumbent must have the ability to report to the work location.

In addition to comparing candidates’ qualifications and experience to the listed technical skills, education, work experience, and personal characteristics (values, attitudes, motivation, and performance), the seniority of Bargaining Unit members will be considered. If the search extends beyond the Bargaining Unit, consideration will be given to accumulated service with the College.
