The Opportunity
Full time or Part time Permanent. To start September 2026. We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and ambitious teacher to join our Faculty of Design, Art and Technology as Head of Art and lead the development, delivery and evaluation across the range of Art specifications. The successful candidate will need to be an excellent classroom teacher with the ability to teach Art and Photography across the key stages. The Faculty of Design, Art and Technology is a successful and popular faculty with pupils of all abilities and makes a significant contribution to preparing pupils for future careers. As a faculty we also offer Product design, Engineering design, Food preparation & nutrition as well as Art and Design fine art, Photography and Textiles across the year groups to make sure all students have a fully rounded curriculum offer.
About You
The position is suitable for both experienced Heads of Department and teachers that are looking for their first middle leadership role/ Head of Department position. The ideal candidate will have a strong appreciation for the arts and a creative flair, along with technical expertise in a variety of artistic materials and techniques, with a commitment to academic excellence. You will be able to plan and deliver high quality lessons and be committed to achieving excellent results for students, instilling in them a love for the subject and a desire to learn. QTS essential.
