The Clinical Nurse Manager, in consultation with the Facility Manager and the multidisciplinary team, will play a pivotal role in managing clinical and care service delivery for residents. We are looking for a dynamic leader with a proven track record of collaborating effectively and leveraging the strengths of an established Clinical Care Team. In this role, you will be key to ensuring high‑quality care outcomes and delivering leadership within the service. This position is ideal for someone with expertise in dementia care, palliative care, and end‑of‑life care.
Responsibilities And Duties
- Support the Facility Manager and the Quality & Compliance Officer to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the facility
- Lead and manage a multi‑disciplinary team in all clinical and care/support activities
- Monitor, review, and report on complex clinical conditions to ensure personalised care for all residents
- Mentor and coach Registered and Enrolled Nurses, along with the broader clinical/care team, to help them reach their full potential
- Promote resident well‑being and safety by ensuring collaborative care practices and the highest standards of service delivery
- Ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality and Safety Standards
- Role‑model best practices in documentation, communication, and record management, ensuring residents' needs, choices, and preferences are clearly understood and respected
Skills, Attributes And Experience
- Registered Nurse with minimum 5 years' experience
- Experience in aged care, preferably in residential and/or community setting
- Clinical expertise in the management of common medical conditions
- Understanding / experience with the AN-ACC funding instrument
- Understanding of quality & risk management systems and the Aged Care Standards Framework
- High level computer literacy in Microsoft Office and Excel
- Is organised and can effectively manage responsibilities and own priorities and assist others in this
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to develop staff, foster teamwork and effectively work as a team member whilst providing leadership.
