As a Live-in Carer, you'll provide dedicated one-to-one support to a client within their own home, offering consistent, person-centred care that promotes independence, dignity and reassurance. Live-in care offers continuity, stability and the opportunity to build meaningful relationships. Responsibilities
- Delivering high-quality personal care and practical support in line with individual care plans
- Prompting or administering medication safely and appropriately
- Preparing meals and supporting nutrition and hydration
- Providing companionship, emotional support and reassurance throughout the day
- Supporting clients with daily routines and encouraging independence wherever possible
- Assisting with household tasks related to the client’s care and wellbeing
- Maintaining clear communication with the care team and reporting any changes or concerns
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience in care is essential for live-in roles, as you will be supporting individuals independently within their own homes. This experience does not need to be in a live-in setting, but applicants should have at least six months’ experience working within a social care environment.
- Full training and ongoing support will still be provided. What matters most is your willingness to learn, a positive attitude, and a strong commitment to supporting people to live safely, confidently and independently.
