At St Jude's Care, we're looking for a compassionate and dedicated Female Live-in Carer to support a client in the Bristol area. This is not a rushed domiciliary care role with back-to-back visits. It's an opportunity to provide truly person-centred support, helping someone live safely, independently, and confidently in their own home. You'll become a trusted source of support, encouragement, and companionship, helping our client enjoy everyday life while remaining at the heart of their family and community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care with dignity, compassion, and respect
  • Support medication routines and health needs
  • Prepare meals and encourage healthy nutrition and hydration
  • Offer companionship, conversation, and emotional support
  • Help maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming home environment
  • Support independence and encourage participation in daily life
  • Assist with epilepsy management, post-seizure recovery, and well-being support
  • Work alongside family members to provide personalised care that truly meets individual needs

About You

Essential Experience

  • Female (Genuine Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010)
  • Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
  • Experience supporting individuals with epilepsy
  • Knowledge of seizure recognition, first aid, and post-seizure support
  • Willingness to train in rescue medication administration
  • Experience working within family homes
  • Strong safeguarding awareness
  • Household skills including cooking, cleaning, and shopping
  • Ability to work a live-in rota of one week on, one week off

Desirable

  • Falls prevention and mobility support experience
  • Mental health awareness and trauma-informed practice
  • Experience supporting community access and appointments
  • Full UK driving licence
