Base pay range
At St Jude’s Care, our Live-in Carers make a real difference – bringing comfort and confidence to people living in their own homes in and around Salisbury. You’ll provide one-to-one care – whether helping with personal care, medication support and home-cooked meals, or simply offering companionship over a cup of tea. Every day brings variety, purpose and the chance to improve someone’s quality of life.
What You’ll Do
- Support clients with personal care in a way that protects dignity, comfort and choice
- Prepare meals suited to their dietary needs and preferences
- Administer medication safely and on time
- Provide companionship, reassurance and a warm, steady presence throughout the day
- Assist with light household tasks to keep the home clean, safe and comfortable
- Encourage independence wherever possible, supporting clients to stay involved in daily routines

- Paid induction and full Care Certificate training
- Career progression with opportunities to complete NVQ Level 2–3 and the Level 3 Diploma in Adult Health & Social Care
- Guaranteed rest – two hours off every day, plus a full eight-hour break each week

Your Skills And Experience
- A caring, reliable and person‑centred approach
- Clear communication skills, good spoken English and a calm, reassuring manner
- Confidence working independently in a client’s home
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to complete one)
- 6+ months of live‑in care experience
- Driving licence (desirable, not essential)
