Overview
At St Jude’s Care, our Live-in Carers make a real difference – bringing comfort and confidence to people living in their own homes in and around Salisbury. You’ll provide one-to-one care – whether helping with personal care, medication support and home-cooked meals, or simply offering companionship over a cup of tea. Every day brings variety, purpose and the chance to improve someone’s quality of life.
Responsibilities
- As a Live-In Carer, you’ll support clients with personal care in a way that protects dignity, comfort and choice
- Prepare meals suited to their dietary needs and preferences
- Prompt or administer medication safely and on time
- Provide companionship, reassurance and a warm, steady presence throughout the day
- Assist with light household tasks to keep the home clean, safe and comfortable
- Encourage independence wherever possible, supporting clients to stay involved in daily routines

Your Skills and Experience
Are you someone who takes pride in helping others live life to the fullest? We’re looking for people with:
- A caring, reliable and person-centred approach
- Clear communication skills, good spoken English and a calm, reassuring manner
- Confidence working independently in a client’s home
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to complete one)
- 6+ months of live-in care experience
- A driving licence (desirable, not essential)
