The Governing Body of St Joseph's Catholic School & Sixth Form Centre is looking to appoint an efficient and effective, well organised individual to provide support with a range of administrative and financial duties. The successful candidate will have excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the School Business Manager by ensuring the efficient provision of day-to-day financial support to the school, ensuring payment processes are carried out in a timely manner and that financial audit requirements are followed.
- Operate the School's Financial System (FMS), including raising orders, accounts payable invoices, and producing financial reports to assist budget monitoring.
- Assist the Business Manager in ensuring procurement procedures are followed and value for money is achieved.
- Maintain the supplier database ensuring all details are correct and up to date including email contacts and bank details.
- Support with the maintenance of pupil information and SIMS, ensuring all up-to-date information is held.
- Manage a range of varied tasks, providing administrative support to the school.
Requirements:
- Be highly proficient with ICT systems and demonstrate good numerical skills.
- Be flexible, adaptable and able to multi-task in a busy environment.
- Be thorough and professional, understanding issues of confidentiality and the need to protect the welfare of children.
- Have previous experience in an administrative office-based role, preferably in a school setting, and knowledge of SIMS educational software is highly desirable.
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be approachable, friendly, a team player, and willing to contribute to the wider life of the school.
