The Governors of St. Joseph's Primary School, part of the Bosco Catholic Education Trust, are seeking to appoint a governance professional (clerk) to support the work of the Local Governing Committee. This position is to start as soon as possible.

The role involves providing professional support to the Governing body. We are looking for someone with excellent administrative skills, good with people and an ability to provide advice on constitutional and procedural matters. Experience in school governance preferred but specialist training can be provided for an applicant with the right administrative and people skills.

Some work will be at the school (located in central Haywards Heath) and some at home. The school is committed to safer recruitment and all appointments are subject to pre-employment checks including a portable DBS check (formerly known as CRB). The hours of work will be 7 hours per week for 38 weeks. This is an average and depends on the arrangement of meetings but flexibility will be important. Some meetings are after school hours.

Salary: Grade 4 point 5 to 6 (£25,583 to £25,989 pro rata)
