We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated teaching assistant to work in our primary school. The successful candidate will have experience supporting children within the classroom with accessing learning and developing all skills. Experience in delivering small group interventions would also be preferable.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Following the direction of the class teacher and SENCO delivering learning and social and emotional support.
  • Support children to access the curriculum so they make progress with their learning.
  • Confident in understanding the different challenges children with additional needs face and have an understanding of strategies which will help them to thrive.
  • Will be empathetic and nurturing.
  • An excellent level of written and spoken English and Maths is essential for this role.
  • Ability to operate basic equipment.
  • Good listening skills and enthusiasm to learn.
  • Accuracy and ability to follow instructions.

This is a part-time position of 8.35am - 12pm daily. The post is a permanent position (39 weeks per year), 17.08hrs per week. The salary range (FTE) is £24,330 (pro rata); the actual salary range is £9,930 - £10,110.
