Responsibilities

  • Support children and young people to actively participate and be involved in a varied menu of play opportunities and activities.
  • Work alongside other staff involved in lunch time supervision.
  • Liaise with teachers where necessary in order to support appropriate play opportunities for targeted children.
  • Be responsible for monitoring a safe working environment.
  • Report all accidents and incidents to the appropriate bodies.
  • Keep the play areas clean and tidy during sessions, and clear up fully at the end of each day.
  • Direct and supervise children to and from the dining area.
  • Supervise children whilst collecting food and eating.
  • Supervise children in the playground, lunchtime area and in the classrooms.
  • Attend relevant job-related training.
