Make A Difference Every Day

As a Residential Education Worker at St Joseph’s, no two days are the same. We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our residential care team on a permanent basis, supporting young people with complex learning disabilities, severe social communication difficulties and behavioural needs. You will support our young people in their residential houses on site, outside of the school day, at weekends and during school holidays. Your role will focus on helping them to develop interests, independence and essential life skills. Working closely with teachers and therapists, you will help assess and monitor each student’s progress.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting with personal care
  • Helping young people choose and prepare meals
  • Supporting shopping and money-handling skills
  • Accompanying activities on and off site
