St Joseph’s School Papanui is seeking an enthusiastic classroom teacher and aspirational leader to join our vibrant Catholic school community from Term 1, 2027. We are looking for an experienced and relational educator who is passionate about teaching and learning and has the skills and confidence to contribute positively to the leadership of our school.
The successful applicant will work collaboratively with teachers to strengthen practice, support student achievement and provide engaging learning experiences.
The successful applicant will:
- demonstrate strong, current classroom teaching practice and a commitment to excellent outcomes for every student
- build positive, respectful relationships with students, whānau and colleagues
- work collaboratively with teaching teams to plan, implement and evaluate learning
- have a growth mindset and commitment to ongoing professional learning and improvement

Expertise in Science, Social Science or Technology would be an advantage, as would knowledge of the Catholic Schools' Religious Education programme.
