Salary: Grade 6 scp 19-24 Actual Salary £16,287.94 - £17,990.35 (£32,061- £35,412 FTE)
Term of Contract: Permanent
Working pattern: Term Time Only + 2 days
Hours per week: Part Time 22 hours per week (4 days of 5.5 hours)
Start date: 1st September 2026

St. Joseph’s are currently seeking a HLTA. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Trust at the beginning of a journey of transition, development, and growth within the multi‑academy trust.
Responsibilities
- To complement the work of teachers, with responsibility for teaching and learning activities which may include planning, preparing and delivering specialist support to individual pupils, groups and/or leading learning activities within an area of specialism.
- To deliver whole class teaching cover, for example during teacher’s PPA time.
- To be responsible for the management and development of a specialist area within the school and/or supervision of other teaching assistants, including allocating and monitoring work, mentoring and training.
- To be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Qualifications
- HLTA status and a relevant NQF/QCF Level 3 qualification
- Training in relevant learning strategies / curriculum / learning areas
- Experience in delivering lessons to individuals, groups and classes
- Experience of preparing and developing resources to meet learning needs
