You will assist with the clinical responsibilities pertaining to the everyday organisation and efficient running of the physiotherapy service, including in-patient on a weekend rota.

Job responsibilities
- You will be responsible for assisting in prioritising patient referrals, allocating and organising the work of colleagues and assistant staff to meet service priorities on a daily basis.
- You will be responsible for organising and planning your own caseload to meet service and patient priorities.
- You will adopt a flexible and participative approach to innovation and change and promote patients' individuality and dignity at all times.
- You will be required to participate in evening, weekend and bank holiday working in conjunction with meeting the service needs of the Centre and hospital.
- You will be required to participate in CPD sessions/initiatives and in-service training programmes.
- You will be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of your own work including the management of patients in your care.
Person Specification
Experience
- Relevant experience in treating patients within outpatient, inpatient and pre-assessment settings.
- Postgraduate experience of minimum 3 years.
- Completion of a comprehensive core rotation programme including all major specialties (Orthopaedics, general surgery, general medicine, neurology, trauma, ITU, MSK outpatients and intermediate care) at senior grade level.
Knowledge and Skills
- To perform advanced, skilled physiotherapeutic assessment of patients.
- To assess, develop and implement physiotherapy treatment for specialist caseload.
- To formulate, develop and deliver individualised treatment programmes based upon evidence-based practice, manual assessment and appropriate clinical reasoning.
- To communicate effectively with patients to ensure informed consent for assessment and treatment, providing the patient with good understanding of their conditions and maximise their rehabilitation potential. Patients may have a barrier to communication e.g., English as their second language.
Qualifications
- Qualified to a minimum degree level in Physiotherapy (BSc Physiotherapy).
- MCSP or equivalent.
- Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered.
