Overview
St Joseph's Catholic Primary School is looking to appoint a Lunchtime Supervisor. As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring that pupils have a safe, enjoyable, and well-managed break during the school day. This role is ideal for someone who is caring, observant, and confident in working with children in a busy school environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise pupils during the lunch period in the dining hall and in outdoor or indoor play areas.
- Encourage positive behaviour, promote healthy eating, and support social interaction among pupils.
- Assist younger children with meals, manage queues, and resolve minor disputes.
- Ensure that all pupils are safe and engaged during their break.
- Work as part of a wider pastoral and support team to help create a calm and inclusive atmosphere; follow safeguarding procedures and report any concerns to the appropriate staff.
