Required from September 2026, the Governors are looking for a highly motivated and inspirational Teaching Assistant to join our Catholic primary school at St Joseph's Catholic Voluntary Academy, Pudsey. We are looking for a candidate who is able to motivate and inspire pupils in their learning and behaviour, with the expectation that you will support children on a 1:1 basis. We would particularly welcome applications from applicants who have experience of working with EYFS. The role will also include lunchtime cover.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is warm, friendly, and empathetic
- Has excellent English, maths and communication skills
- Understands how individual children learn to ensure rapid progress
- Is committed to high standards of attainment and behaviour
- Works effectively as part of a skilled team including outside agencies
- Someone who may want to develop skills necessary to enter into initial teacher training
- Is a practising Catholic or supportive of the Catholic ethos of the school
