Centre Overview

St Johns Shopping Centre is a thriving scheme in the heart of Liverpool. The centre is home to over 100 fantastic brands from high street fashion to independent retailers and well-known food outlets along with a 24-hour, 625 space multi-storey car park.

Role Overview

We are looking for someone with relevant experience who would like to work within an dynamic management team in a varied and exciting role.

Assist with the day to day running of the shopping centre and car park
Deliver operational excellence through process review, strategic leadership and contractor management.
Make decisions that maximise commercial performance, reduce risk and enhance reputation
Build strong relationships with stakeholders including colleagues, retailers and contract partners
Work in a fast paced, dynamic environment, acting as duty manager for the asset to ensure the business operates effectively

Role Specifics

Take clear ownership of all contract management and any third parties relating to:

Cleaning
Security
Pest
Waste
Car Park
Insurance claims

Build and manage a budget(s) pertinent to your areas of responsibility totalling circa £3 million per annum.

Experience and skills

Essential

Experience of working in a shopping centre or large multi-use building
Car park management experience
Extensive knowledge of building management and proven experience of dealing with all related operational elements needed for day to day running
Able to operate and manage on a strategic level to deliver operational and commercial results utilising all resources effectively and efficiently.
Budget planning, management of a commercial Service Charge and experience of driving cost reduction strategies
Management of large-scale soft service contracts to deliver optimum standards of building cleanliness and safety
Experienced leader of people
Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
Knowledgeable of MS Office with advanced Excel capabilities
Understanding of AI and its practical application
In-depth knowledge and experience of Health & Safety legislation and practice

Desirable

Experience of working in a retail outlet or building which included partial retail or hospitality provision
A clear understanding of environmental social governance and an ability to effect positive change
Certified IOSH and NEBOSH (or equivalent) preferable
Experience of soft service contract procurement and tendering
