The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.
To provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and visitors, either in person or via the telephone. Welcome, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare profession in a courteous, efficient, and effective way.
Main duties of the job:
- Dealing with appointment, home visits and telephone requests.
- Booking, amending, and cancelling patient appointments.
- Processing of repeat prescriptions in accordance to practice guidelines.
- Initial contact with and responding to requests from patients, other team members and associated healthcare agencies and providers.
- Filing and retrieving paperwork.
- Taking messages and passing on information.
- Keeping the reception area tidy and free from obstructions and clutter.
- Bring in path lab results and re-allocate where necessary.
- Import GP to GP records.
- Action admin emails and internal messages.
- Action master call out of hours reports.
- Enter new patients onto the system.
- Enter change of address, name changes to the system.
- Action on-line registrations.
- Action mother and baby discharges.
- Medical records for insurance companies.
- Carry out data entry for patient records.
- Receive new patient paper notes from the health authority and entering them onto the system.
- Scanning of post onto patient records.
- Coding.
- Emailing of sick notes, referrals to patients and hospitals.
- Completing tasks sent from internal users.
- Ensure patient confidentiality is kept at all times.
- Complete annual mandatory training.

About us: St Johns Medical Centre is located in the market town of Altrincham within the borough of Trafford, Greater Manchester. We have a clinical team of 9 GP Partners, 5 Salaried GPs, 4 Practice Nurses, 2 HCAs & 1 Phlebotomist, all supported by a large reception and admin team.
