This role matters. A unique opportunity has arisen to join our specialist Inpatient Ward team as a Senior Healthcare Assistant on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. This is a special role, where you will support and implement the delivery of nursing care to patients under the direction of a registered professional in a clinical setting.
The Inpatient Ward provides care for patients and their loved ones so that they can hopefully feel well enough to go home again or stay with us for end-of-life care.
The St John’s Ward team is dedicated, skilled, and experienced in caring for people with palliative and end-of-life care needs. You will be joining a professional and supportive team committed to putting patients and their families at the heart of everything they do.
Key info: This position is to cover a period of maternity leave for a staff member who works predominantly night shifts with occasional rotation onto day shifts. If you feel you can cover their shifts for the next 12 months, we would love to hear from you.

This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check. The cost of this check is currently £54.30, which will be deducted from the successful applicant\’s first salary payment.
Salary: £25,589.20 – £26,371.80 per annum (based on 35 hours/week, dependent on pension scheme). Plus a £15 night allowance per night worked.
Benefits include holiday entitlement and pension options:
