We are looking for a Housekeeping Assistant to join our team. This role is vital in supporting the work of all areas of the Hospice, by providing a clean, tidy and safe environment for all patients, their families, visitors and the wider Hospice team. The Housekeeping team are justifiably proud of their essential roles which directly impacts patient care.
Working within an experienced and supportive housekeeping team you must be able to demonstrate a can-do attitude and take an organised approach to your work.
Key role information- This role is for 24 hours per week, working 4 x 6 hour shifts over a 7 day rota.
- As part of this rota, you will work 1 full weekend every 4 weeks.
- Weekday shifts are from 7am – 1.45pm.
- Any shifts worked on a weekend are from 8am – 2.45pm.

This post is subject to a standard DBS check. The cost of this check is currently £26.30 and this will be deducted from the successful applicant’s first salary payment.

Pay: £16,286.40* – £16,785.60 per annum (based on 24 hours/week, dependent on pension scheme)
Pension: St John’s Hospice Pension Scheme (St John’s pays an 8% employer contribution) or NHS Pension may be continued subject to eligibility.
