This role matters: We are excited to introduce this new role who will lead our multi-skilled, high performing, creative and innovative Marketing, Communication and Engagement team, supporting their work through a significant moment in time for the Hospice. We are looking for a Head of Marketing, Communications and Engagement who will develop and drive this work forward.

The Hospice has an enviable reputation for excellent care to patients and their loved ones, in the Hospice and within their own homes. This role requires a creative and innovative mindset and a passion for developing unique marketing strategies and campaigns. You’ll play a key role in identifying new opportunities to further improve the Hospice’s profile and celebrate the difference we make to thousands of patients and families every year. This will directly relate to the Hospice’s income generation, which funds patient and family care. If you are a strategic thinker and a hands-on person with a proven track record in marketing leadership and are excited about the opportunity to drive our marketing efforts which supports palliative and end of life care, we would love to hear from you."

This post is subject to a standard DBS check. The cost of this check is currently £26.30 and this will be deducted from the successful applicant's first salary payment.
- Hybrid: Based from St Johns Hospice, with some home working and off-site in community locations
- Hours: Role Type: 24-month fixed term
- Pay: Up to £38,824.00 per annum (based on 37.5 hours/week, dependent on pension scheme)
- Holiday: 27 days plus usual bank holidays pro rata (7 weeks per annum)
- Pension: St John’s Hospice Pension Scheme (St John’s pays an 8% employer contribution) or NHS Pension may be continued subject to eligibility
