This role matters: Due to an internal promotion we have an exciting opportunity for an organised and motivated individual to join our finance team, could it be you? This role would suit someone who enjoys working with people, data and for someone who has a passion for working efficiently and accurately. St John’s Hospice is a special place, and we are committed to being financially “fit for purpose”. Our finance team are justifiably proud of their essential roles in providing accurate and timely information, enabling the Hospice Trustees and Senior Management Team to make sound strategic decisions.

Excellent numeracy, IT, organisational and interpersonal skills are crucial for this post. This is a finance role where you can really use your skills to make a difference. You will work on-site at the Hospice as part of our own dedicated Finance team. This role is for 30 hours per week, which can be worked flexibly across either 4 or 5 days per week.

Salary: £20,358.00 – £20,982.00 per annum (based on 30 hours / week, dependent on pension scheme)

Benefits:

  • 27 days plus usual bank holidays (7 weeks per annum)
  • St John’s Hospice Pension Scheme (St John’s pays an 8% employer contribution) or NHS Pension may be continued subject to eligibility
  • Standard DBS check (cost £26.30 deducted from first salary payment)
