St John’s College, one of the largest Colleges within the University of Cambridge, is seeking to appoint a General Catering Assistant (Platewash) to support the smooth running of the College kitchens by maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic working environment.
Responsibilities:
- Wash cutlery, crockery, glassware, and kitchen equipment.
- Clean the platewash area and surrounding spaces.
- Carry out general kitchen portering duties.
- Remove waste safely.
- Follow Food Safety, Health and Safety, and Fire Regulations at all times.
- Assist colleagues as needed to ensure an efficient service.
