As a Teaching Assistant supporting children with complex needs, you will work closely with teachers and senior staff to provide targeted support for pupils with learning difficulties and/or behavioural, social, or physical disabilities. Your role will be crucial in:

  • Supporting pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including autism and social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
  • Assisting with individual education and behaviour plans tailored to each child’s needs.
  • Promoting inclusion, independence, and emotional well-being.
  • Helping pupils access learning through small group or one-to-one support.
  • Assisting with personal care, communication, and social development.
  • Providing basic first aid and administering medication in line with Trust policies.
  • Supporting classroom management and creating a positive learning environment.
