St John's CE Primary Academy is seeking a confident, organised and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and contributing to a positive and purposeful learning environment.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absence. The postholder will deliver planned learning activities during teacher absence, provide regular PPA cover and leadership release cover, and ensure that pupils continue to receive high-quality learning experiences within a calm, safe and purposeful environment. You will not be expected to plan lessons or assess work, but you will be responsible for managing classroom behaviour in line with academy expectations and providing feedback to teaching staff.
We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, a calm and professional manner, and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues. Experience of working with young people in an educational or youth setting is desirable, although full training will be provided. This role would suit someone considering a future career in teaching or education, as well as those with experience in support roles.
