St John’s CE Primary Academy is a one-form entry Church of England school at the heart of the Wednesbury community, known for its nurturing, family‑centred ethos and strong pastoral care. We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Assistant Headteacher to lead on inclusion across the school, including the strategic leadership of SEND provision. This is a key role, ensuring that all pupils, particularly those with special educational needs and disabilities, barriers to learning, or social, emotional and mental health needs, are fully supported to succeed.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of SEND provision, fulfilling the SENCo role, and will work closely with staff, families and external agencies to secure the best possible outcomes for pupils. You will drive high-quality teaching through an inclusive lens, support staff in adapting provision effectively, and ensure that statutory responsibilities are met to a high standard.

As part of the senior leadership team, you will contribute to the wider strategic direction of the school, promoting a culture where every child is valued and inclusion is at the heart of all decision‑making. You will build on the school’s strong Christian ethos, where values such as resilience, hope, community and excellence underpin daily life.
