St John’s Church, Deptford, has been awarded a Delivery Phase grant by The National Lottery Heritage Fund for its Restore the Binns project, to restore its Grade II* historic organ built in 1901 by the renowned organ builder JJ Binns. Central to the project is the delivery of an Activity Plan that will deliver new opportunities to engage with the organ and create music – both within the community and nearby education institutions.

We are looking for a musically and/or community engagement motivated individual to help deliver our Restore the Binns project. You will develop opportunities through the project’s action plans to integrate the organ, music, the church and the community, creating an enhanced and sustainable offer with new engagement opportunities that engage wider audiences – both local people and visitors.

You will carry out the detailed planning and delivery of a programme of events and activities ensuring that opportunities are inclusive, collaborative and community focused. This will include establishing and collaborating with community groups and organisations, project staff, consultants and partners.
