Join our Team as a Level 2 Teaching Assistant (EYFS) at St John with St Michael Primary School, Moss Side Street, Shawforth, Rochdale, OL12 8EP.

Contract: Fixed Term – August 2027

Grade: NJC 04 – NJC 06 (£25,185 - £25,989 per annum, pro rata)

Hours: 30 hours/week, TTO

Working Weeks: 43.6 working weeks (Term Time Only)

Start Date: 1st September 2026

Closing Date: 22nd July 2026 – 12 noon

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and talented teaching assistant to join our dedicated staff team. We require a teaching assistant who can provide exciting and stimulating learning opportunities and support the child throughout all aspects of school life. Applicants must be committed to further enhancing the very high standards which already exist in the school and be patient and kind to support the children in their transition.

The successful candidate will also be expected to make a valuable contribution to whole school development and to enriching the experiences of our pupils and will be fully supported by the school and the Trust. St John with St Michael is a very special place to work. We are looking for a Teaching Assistant, with a clear pedagogy which aligns with our vision, a strong commitment to their own professional development and wanting to continually improve our offer for our children through open, honest and reflective teamwork.
