The Governors of St John the Baptist are seeking to appoint an internal candidate who is committed, organised, enthusiastic, and hardworking to cover PPA 2 hours per week in Key Stage 1.

Under the general supervision and direction of the teacher, the successful candidate will:

  • Plan and implement learning activities for individuals and groups.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to the class teacher.
  • Establish supportive and constructive relationships with pupils, parents, and carers.
  • Provide short-term cover for classes to which the Teaching Assistant is normally assigned, when the class teacher is unexpectedly unavailable.
